What we are:
GardenStops.com is about the local home
gardener. We strive to bring FREE landscaping and horticultural resources and
information to the fingertips of anyone with access to the world-wide web.
This can be accomplished through the generosity of local businesses who
advertise their services through GardenStops.com.
Plant lists are for each region and include color photographs, specifications
and growing tips. The plant entries even come with a listing of the
neighborhood nurseries who try to keep that plant in stock. Other areas can be
accessed by the "Site Links" buttons to gain a peek at local
establishments or mail order companies that offer garden supplies, furniture,
lighting, tools, statuary, pools and spas, art and other garden related items.
Why we do it:
As a landscape designer and gardener myself, I realize the frustrations
associated with looking for appropriate plant materials and gardening extras
that bring special meaning and tranquility to a garden. My clients often spend
an inordinate amount of time and effort in locating specific plants once we
have decided on a landscape plan. By doing the legwork for them, I allow my
clients --- and anyone else who might want to use GardenStops.com ---
to actually enjoy their time spent gardening instead of shopping.
